* the "Little Zines" are an origami form that with one cut partially through the center fold down to a small multi-paged zine. they are made of a regular sized sheet of paper and can be taken anywhere and made without need for any staples or glue.

* There are unspeakable things in the world,
and these like to gather young life to
themselves to create more. Sometimes
though, one escapes, even if for a moment,
and shines. *
* "Won’t you buy a match?" A tiny hint of the
heavens she sold, one by one, from her tiny
hand. Most people rushed by without realizing
what it was. A bundle of miniscule sticks in
the fingers of an unimportant, little, person.
What use could it be?
"These are very good matches." Yes they were.
Her matches could warm a house, help feed a
family, and light the way. But did the child
wrapped around them loom larger than the
buildings about her? Was she wider than the
streets below her? Was she only a small form
that did not hinder the stumbling rush of bodies?
As the snow began to fall not a sound was
heard. Even as all that was light began to
dim some things could not be denied. The
snowflakes were beautiful even when they
came to sweep the small and seemingly
insignificant away.
* "Come Little Star- I need your matches. The gloom
of this world obscures the light of my stars and
without their twinkle people will lose hope."
It wasn’t hope they felt when they looked up before
the sun rose, it was longing. All they could see in the
night was a distant flare of color, a distant sense of
music, and of.. laughter?
There are those who don’t long when they look up
but light their own way and feel at one with the
stars here below and there above and whatever may
be out there. The Little Star no one remembers knows
what is there. The others? The ones who wonder and
long at the distant twinkle? They will have to find their
own way when they look down or up or around …
there are stars all around, if only they could see them.
